I think what you composed made a ton of sense. But, think about this, what if you composed a catchier post title? I am not suggesting your content isn't good, but what if you added a post title to maybe grab a person's attention? I mean BLOG_TITLE is kinda plain. You might glance at Yahoo's front page and note how they create article headlines to get viewers interested. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to grab people excited about what you've got to say. In my opinion, it would bring your website a little livelier.
