I think what you posted was actually very logical. However, consider this, suppose you were to write a awesome title? I am not suggesting your information is not solid, but what if you added a post title to maybe grab folk's attention? I mean BLOG_TITLE is a little boring. You should glance at Yahoo's home page and watch how they create news titles to grab viewers to open the links. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to get people excited about what you've got to say. In my opinion, it would make your posts a little bit more interesting.
