OK — been using this thing for maybe four months now and it's stuck on my phone, so figured I'd say something since someone asked me last week. I'm based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I could never figure out what an each way payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I'd just wing it and then be surprised. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the part I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows the return straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it's here odds format converter and there's no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that really shifted things for me was the nerdier extras. They've got an implied probability converter that shows how much the bookie's taking, and a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutching one is handy too for when I'm spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. Its design feels very functional, let's say — not much flash, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it's fine although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And no proper app, just the site — slight shame but worth saying.
Right, that's me. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a load of arguments with the bookie. -
